Two Italians in Mongolia!

Giacomo Della Gatta è un viaggiatore nato.
Dopo il fiume Niger in Mali e la Groenlandia di Ammassalik (ed il periplo del Peloponneso, di Creta etc), l'amico palermitano progetta ora una nuova avventura in uno degli angoli più sperduti della terra: la Mongolia Khovsgol Lake Kayak Expedition!
Col suo compagno di sempre Salvatore Bartoli parte proprio oggi per raggiungere la Mongolia e per circumnavigare il Lago Khovsgol: loro scrivono "per tentare", con la modestia che li contraddistingue, ma sono sicura che riusciranno nell'intento.
La spedizione, come sempre, è curata nei minimi dettagli ed ogni aggiornamento può essere seguito sia sul blog dedicato al viaggio che sulla pagina facebook, dove sono già state inserite alcune fotografie sulla messa a punto del kayak davvero molto divertenti...
La circumnavigazione del lago, ghiacciato per quasi tutto l'anno salvo che in giugno, dovrebbe durare circa due settimane: i due amici contano di pagaiare per circa 400 Km, di incontrare gli Tsataan, gli "uomini renna" che vivono a Nord-Ovest del lago, e di chiudere l'avventura mongola ad Ulan Bator giusto in tempo per il Naadam, una sorta di olimpiade degli sport nazionali mongoli...
Torneranno a casa contenti come due bambini: non vedo l'ora di ascoltare i loro racconti!!!

Giacomo Della Gatta is a perfect glob trotter!
After the River Niger in Mali and Ammasslik in Greenland (and after the periplo of the Peloponnesus and Crete Island in Greece etc), he now starts with a new adventure in one of the most isolated angles of the earth: he plans Mongolia Khovsgol Lake Kayak Expedition!
With his friend and paddle buddy Salvatore Bartoli, from Palermo - Italy as well, he flys out this morning to reach Mongolia and to circumnavigate the Lake Khovsgol: "to attempt the circumnavigatio", he wrote, because he's modest as usual, but I am sure as hell that they will certainly succeed! 
The expedition is very well organized in every details and it will be possibile to receive news both from the blog and the facebook page, where there already are some interesting and funny pictures about the kayak...
The circumnavigation should going on for about two weeks: the Italian friends count to paddle for around 400 Km, to meet the Tsataans, better known as "reindeer men" and to close the adventure in Ulaanbataar just in time for the Naadam, a sort of Olympic Games of the Mongolian national sports... 
They will surely come back home as excited as two little childs: I cannot wait to listen their stories!!!
